Paul and son Evan hope to create an establishment where patrons feel like family.

January 2018 Business Spotlight:  4th Street Bar
In our efforts to support businesses within the project area, RTC will profile a business within the corridor each month. Paul Kotler recently invested in east Fourth Street with the purchase of what used to be the Cadillac Lounge at 1114 East Fourth Street. Kotler changed the name to 4th Street Bar and is providing aesthetic and structural improvements. The business could be one of the oldest establishments in the neighborhood with records dating back to 1904. Kotler is excited for street and sidewalk improvements and looks forward to a revitalized corridor with the completion of the project.

Sullivan Lane Closure Planned
Sullivan Lane at Prater Way will be closed for traffic signal pole work starting Monday, January 22, to Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Detours will be in place. The closure will not impact traffic on Prater Way. Construction crews will maintain access to businesses and residences.

Traffic Control

  • Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction from Rock Blvd. to Evans Ave. Businesses are open and accessible.
  • Possible side street closures throughout the project from Pyramid Way to Evans Ave. Please use posted detours.
  • Traffic control on Prater Way/4th Street between El Rancho Drive and Galletti Way includes lane reductions and a three-way stop east and westbound and at the I-80 westbound on and off ramps. Traffic lights at I-80 eastbound on and off ramps are still functioning normally.
  • For the safety of drivers, riders and crews, RTC bus routes 2, 5, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26 are detoured. Access RTC Transit Services for more information. Detours will be in place throughout the project.
