Project Weekly Update: August 20, 2018

Traffic Control

  • Eastbound traffic on 4th Street in Reno from Quincy Avenue to Evans Avenue is closed from August 13 to August 31 for paving. Westbound traffic is not impacted by the lane closure. Eastbound traffic can detour on Evans Avenue to Sutro Avenue via 2nd Street or 6th Street.
  • The 4th Street/Evans Avenue intersection will be closed on August 31 for paving. Traffic will be detoured to Lake Street.
  • Traffic control on 4th Street between Galletti Way and Evans Ave. includes lane reductions and side street closures. Businesses are open and accessible.
  • For the safety of drivers, riders and crews, RTC bus routes 2, 5, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26 are detoured. Access RTC Transit Services for more information. Detours will be in place throughout the project.

Notes
Weather permitting, traffic control may include sidewalk closures, lane closures and minor detours.
Possible lane shifts with flagger throughout the project corridor.
The RTC urges drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians to use extra caution in construction work zones.
Traffic control and work zones will be in place and changing frequently. Use caution and look for flaggers for direction. Brief delays can be expected.
