RTC Team on Alice 96.5

The RTC project team joined on-air personality Bill Schulz from Alice 96.5 to discuss the project improvements and business support programs. The program will air Sunday, June 10 at 6 am on Reno Media stations. Please visit Alice 96.5 to listen to the entire interview.

The project team is on schedule to reopen the 4th/Prater I-80 on and off ramps and 4th/Prater from Galletti Way to El Rancho Drive on Saturday, June 16. Crews will begin paving the Reno section of roadway on 4th Street from Galletti Way to Sutro St. next month. More details will be provided as the operation gets nearer.

Traffic Control

  • The I-80 on and off ramps at E. 4th Street and Prater Way are closed for construction work starting Monday, June 4 through Saturday, June 16. Prater Way and 4th Street are closed to traffic from Galletti Way to El Rancho Drive during the same time period. These closures are 24-hours-a-day.
  • Traffic control on Prater Way/4th Street between Galletti Way and Evans Ave. includes lane reductions and side street closures. Businesses are open and accessible.
  • For the safety of drivers, riders and crews, RTC bus routes 2, 5, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26 are detoured. Access RTC Transit Services for more information. Detours will be in place throughout the project.

Notes

Weather permitting, traffic control may include sidewalk closures, lane closures and minor detours.
Possible lane shifts with flagger throughout the project corridor.
The RTC urges drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians to use extra caution in construction work zones.
Traffic control and work zones will be in place and changing frequently.  Use caution and look for flaggers for direction.  Brief delays can be expected.
