Project Weekly Update: September 29, 2017

Beginning the week of October 9, Prater Way will be reduced to one westbound only lane from Pyramid Way to Rock Blvd.

Dear Stakeholder:
Below please find the project update for the week of September 25 and anticipated traffic control for the week of October 2, 2017.

City of Sparks Paving
Mainline paving operations will begin on Prater Way from Pyramid Way to Rock Blvd. the week of October 9 until the week of October 23. Traffic will be reduced to one lane westbound only. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Oddie Blvd. Business and residential access will be maintained.

Traffic Control for the week of October 2, 2017
El Rancho Dr. closed at Prater Way beginning Oct. 6 for approximately one week. Please use D Street and 21st Street detours.
Oct. 4: Victorian Ave. paving. Please use detours.
Oct. 6: 12-hour closure on Prater Way between Pyramid Way and 9th St.
Alternating side street (9th St. to 15th St. at Prater Way) closures. Use detours.

Ongoing
The north side of the roadway is closed for demolition and roadway reconstruction from Pyramid Way west to Rock Blvd. Businesses are still open. Traffic is shifted to the south side of the roadway. One lane in each direction will be maintained. Business and residential access will be maintained. Drivers can expect minor delays.

Traffic control is in place from Rock Blvd. to Evans Ave. The south side of the roadway is closed for demolition and roadway reconstruction. Traffic is shifted to the north side of the roadway. One lane in each direction will be maintained. Business and residential access will be maintained. Drivers can expect minor delays.

Traffic control on Prater Way/4th Street between El Rancho Drive and Galletti Way includes lane reductions and a three-way stop east and westbound and at the I80 westbound on and off ramps. Traffic lights at I-80 eastbound on and off ramps are still functioning normally.

For the safety of drivers, riders and crews, RTC bus routes 2, 5, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26 are detoured. Access RTC Transit Services for more information. Detours will be in place throughout the summer.

Notes
Weather dependent, traffic control may include sidewalk closures, lane closures and minor detours.
Possible lane shifts with flagger throughout the project corridor.
Traffic control and work zones will be in place and changing frequently. Use caution and look for flaggers for direction. Brief delays can be expected.
