Dear Stakeholder:
Below please find the project update for the week of September 4 and anticipated traffic control for the week of
September 11, 2017.

Project Safety

Driver, public and worker safety is the top priority of the 4th St.|Prater Way Project Team. Each day begins with a safety meeting where the team discusses the upcoming operations. The meeting concludes with Stretch and Flex, where workers participate in a series of exercises to prepare for the day’s activities.

“Safety is the RTC’s top priority, especially working in live traffic in one of the busiest corridors in Northern Nevada,” said Warren Call, PE, RTC Project Manager. “All of our team partners, contractors and subcontractors make up our strong safety culture.”

Traffic Control for the week of September 11, 2017

Galletti Way will be closed at 4th Street from Monday, September 11 to Thursday, September 14.
Traffic switch on Prater Way from 16th to 22nd Street
16th Street closed. Use detour.
Possible lane closures on 18th Street.
Possible lane closures at Park Ave.
Traffic switch on Victorian Ave. from Kietzke Lane to Prater Way
Restricted access in alley west of Reno Sparks Gospel Mission

Victorian Ave. from Kietzke Lane to Prater Way is under construction with lane closures. Please use Prater Way and El Rancho Drive detours.

The north side of the roadway is closed for demolition and roadway reconstruction from Pyramid Way west to Rock Blvd. Businesses are still open. Traffic is shifted to the south side of the roadway. One lane in each direction will be maintained. Business and residential access will be maintained. Drivers can expect minor delays.

Traffic control is in place on from Rock Blvd. to Evans Ave. Way. The south side of the roadway is closed for demolition and roadway reconstruction. Traffic is shifted to the north side of the roadway. One lane in each direction will be maintained. Business and residential access will be maintained. Drivers can expect minor delays.

For the safety of drivers, riders and crews, RTC bus routes 2, 5, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26 are detoured. Access RTC Transit Services for more information. Detours will be in place throughout the summer.

Notes

Weather dependent, traffic control may include sidewalk closures, lane closures and minor detours.
Possible lane shifts with flagger throughout the project corridor.
Traffic control and work zones will be in place and changing frequently. Use caution and look for flaggers for direction. Brief delays can be expected
