14 Apr 4th Street|Prater Way Bus RAPID Transit Project Weekly Update: April 13, 2017
Below please find the project update for the week of April 10 and anticipated traffic control for the week of April 17, 2017.
New Neighborhood Signs Installed
4th Street/Prater Way is a regional corridor in the Truckee Meadows connecting Reno and Sparks. Once completed, project improvements will benefit the entire community from enhanced transit options to landscaping and aesthetics. The corridor includes a combination of businesses and residents. The project team installed new signs near Prater Way and 10th Street on the east end of the project to create awareness of the neighborhoods and children nearby.
“We understand drivers use the corridor, but we also want to bring attention to the children and pedestrian activity in the area,” said Warren Call, RTC Project Manager. “It is important for drivers and pedestrians to pay extra close attention in the work zone.”
2040 RTP Open House
During the past year, the RTC has developed the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) draft. As an interested stakeholder in the region’s transportation network, you are invited to attend a community open house on April 25th at The Discovery Museum from 4 pm to 6 pm. To learn more about the 2040 RTP, visit www.rtcwashoe.com and click on Hot Topics. While there is ample parking, this location is served by RAPID and Route 1!
