03 Mar 4th Street|Prater Way Bus RAPID Transit Project Weekly Update: March 3, 2017
Below please find the project update for the week of February 27 and anticipated traffic control for the week of March 6, 2017.
Phase 1 Traffic Control in Place
The project team switched traffic to the Phase 1 configuration this week. Drivers are shifted to the north side of the roadway while demolition and roadway reconstruction are in progress on the south side. Drivers can expect minor delays throughout the project corridor. Traffic engineers are evaluating signal timing and will adjust as necessary.
While crews work on demolition on the east side of the project near Prater Way and Pyramid Way, another team will be working on water line installation and improvements on the west side of the project near 4th Street and Galletti Way.
“We anticipate working six days a week from 7 am to 7 pm whenever possible with crews at both ends of the project,” said Warren Call, RTC Project Manager. “We heard how important it is to everyone the project moves as quickly as possible.”
